Poop Promoting foods

We must talk about poop and normalize it because it is a part of life and a normal body function.

Now that we have gotten that out of the way, if you have trouble pooping, meaning you are not pooping regularly at least daily. Meaning each day you are using the bathroom to poop.

Before I share what you should eat, please note that you should try to keep all your meals as balanced as possible. 

Tip #1

Focus on Fiber:

Fiber Rich foods are essential when it comes to increasing poop. They help maintain regularity and add bulk to your stool to help things keep moving regularly. I want you to think of fiber as nature's broom. It helps sweep stuff down your digestive tract. So add more food that has the effect of the broom 

Here are my top three tops foods you want to focus on to help you move regularly 

  • Legumes
  • Nuts
  • Oats
  • Chia seeds
  • Flax seeds
  • Seeds
  • Green leafy veggies

Also please note that adding too much fiber too quickly will cause the opposite effect especially if you are not used to adding fiber. So start slowly and gradually add as the days go by.

Tip #2

Stay hydrated

It's no secret you want to stay hydrated and you have probably heard how water is important. Water is important for many body functions but for the purpose of pooping, the biggest driver to help food move through your body is water.

Drink about 6-8 glasses but to customize it for you,

Take your body weight in kilos divided by 30 and the answer you get is in liters.

Eg 70 Kilo / 30 = 2.33 liters

Take your weight in pounds divide it by 2 and your answer is how much water to drink in ounces

150lb / 2 = 75 ounces of water

If you are exercising, you should increase more water 

If the weather is hotter, you should increase more water 

If you don't like water, flavor it with fruit or herbs like oranges, lemon, mint, apples etc 

 

Take a probiotic

Taking a high-quality probiotic will help keep the gut healthy and regular

Probiotics help restore order and maintain harmony in your gut. If your gut needs extra help, adding a probiotic will help keep things regular. 

Staying regularly and pooping on a regular basis is going to require you to be proactive about your health. It will require you to think of this as a lifestyle.
