What fat is good for your health?

Jul 07, 2022

When I got a diagnosis of high Cholesterol one of the first things I did in changing my diet was change the oils I was incorporating.

You see, the oils I was using to cook for myself and my family were damaging my body.

The oils I was using sounded like were healthy but upon further investigation, I realized dang!

They were the culprit! Oils like corn oil, sunflower oil, canola oil, margarine, etc

These oils/fats essentially are processed and have been shown not to support a healthy body.

They raise bad cholesterol and lower good cholesterol they are considered the worst types of fat and pose a risk to our health.

❌Risk to our Heart health

❌cause some cancers

❌Cause gut health issues.

They are also known as Hydrogenated / trans fat basically industrialized fats which should not be in the market.

Our focus should be on good fats.

Good Fats are essential for a healthy thriving body.

There are three types of dietary fats.

Saturated, polyunsaturated & monounsaturated

Most people generally think polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats are healthy fats yet humans have consumed saturated (unprocessed) fats for years.

Fat is great for -:

✅Immunity
✅Improving body composition
✅Cardiovascular health
✅Brain health
✅Support our cell membranes and even help the absorption of Vitamins A & D
✅Fats also good for hormone production

Fats from Olive oil, coconut oil, avocado oil nuts seed avocados 🥑 grass-fed beef, fish oil, etc are great for your body.

Avoid processed fats like corn oil, sunflower oil, fresh fry, Elianto, etc as these oils are trans fats / hydrogenated and pose a risk to your health and the health of your loved ones.
